The National Accreditation and Quality Assurance Authority (NAQAA) Act is a legislative framework established to regulate, oversee, and enhance the quality of tertiary and higher education in The Gambia. Through this Act, NAQAA is empowered to enforce standards, ensure accountability, and maintain the integrity of educational qualifications.

1. Accreditation Policy
The Accreditation Policy sets the standards for accrediting tertiary and vocational institutions. It ensures that institutions provide recognized and quality education that meets national and international benchmarks.
2. Quality Assurance Policy
Our Quality Assurance Policy is designed to maintain and enhance the quality of education. We conduct regular audits and assessments to guarantee that institutions continuously meet the required educational standards.
3. Programme Approval and Review Policy
The Programme Approval and Review Policy governs the approval of academic programs. It ensures that all programs offered are up-to-date, relevant, and aligned with the needs of students and the job market.
4. Compliance and Monitoring Policy
The Compliance and Monitoring Policy ensures that institutions adhere to NAQAA’s guidelines and maintain quality standards. We regularly review institutions to ensure continuous compliance.
5. Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) Policy
The RPL Policy allows learners to gain credit for skills and knowledge they’ve acquired outside formal education. This supports lifelong learning and helps non-traditional learners access further education and certification.
